Hi I'm Morrie

I grew up in Burien Washington, just south of Seattle. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Growing up in Seattle and loving sports, I have always been a Husky, Mariner Seahawk & Sonics fan. I attended Western Washington University where I met my wife of now 48 years. We have raised 6 children and enjoy 16 grandchildren. I have spent much of my time actively involved as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Along with that I have coached young men & adults, played & umpired in different sports. I spent much of my life following in my fathers footsteps and working in the Grocery industry. In the past 12 years I have worked, & still continue to work, as a Realtor.

Why I am a Mormon

In my early years, before I was 8 years old, I was not involved as a member of the Church. I was allowed to attend other faiths but then when I turned 8 I was baptized a member of the Church. I have remained active throughout my life since then. After my baptism I always felt like I was at home, where the Lord wanted me to be. I looked forward to the day when I would turn 12 so that I could hold the Aaronic Priesthood and pass the Sacrament each Sunday. Over the years I have been allowed to serve in many faith promoting callings. As I have served the Lord my testimony has grown stronger. I have had the priviledge of serving as a Bishop of one of our congregations and gained many wonderful experiences that made my testimony grow even more. The Holy Ghost has testified to me many times that this is the Lords true gospel restored to the earth. That Jesus Christ lives and is at the head of this Church. I have always chosen as my roll models the general authorities of the Church and other local leaders that I associate with from day to day with Thomas S. Monson, our Prophet, as one whom I have always looked up to. The Gospel of Jesus Christ teaches of family and I am thankful for the family that I have and to know how we can be together for ever.

How I live my faith

I have had the opportunity to serve in the Church since I was a young man. All of the callings in the Church that I have had have given me the confidence I have needed to help me in all areas of my life. I have served in most every area of the Church, as a teacher of youth, leader of adults both within our congregation and as part of the Stake organization of the local area. I am also a home teacher. I go out each month and visit the families assigned to me and my companion to give service to them as needed. The Chruch has helped me to round out my life and make it very fulfilling.
