Hi I'm Georgina

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of two wonderful boys and have been married for twenty years, I am a housewife and in my spare time I enjoy reading, sewing, scrapbooking and genealogy. I grew up in England and then ten years ago we all moved to the United States where we just love living.

Why I am a Mormon

I was fortunate enough to be born into the church but of course there came a time when I needed to find out for myself if the church was true or not, I was about seventeen when I came to the realization that all I had been taught growing up and experienced as a child and youth was true, I prayed about it and knew in my heart that this was the restored church of Jesus Christ, with a living Prophet that communicates with God to guide and direct his children today. I know the Bible and the Book of Mormon to be the word of God and that they both testify of Jesus Christ, that he is the son of God and our Savior and Redeemer and that from both sets of scriptures we can learn of all the things Jesus Christ and God want us to know, two witnesses of Jesus Christ are better than one. God loves all his children and wants us to share what we know to be true. I am grateful to know that God has a plan for us and that he wants us all to know about it so that we can be worthy to return home to him after this mortal life. The missionary program that we have is a marvelous way to share the gospel.

How I live my faith

I strive each day to try to do what is right, my mother always taught me to "do unto others what I would want done unto me" so I try to help and serve others in a way that will bring joy and comfort to those I meet. At church over the years I have had the opportunity to serve with the children, the youth and the adults which has been a great way to build friendships and serve others. Each month we have the opportunity to go and visit with families, who we are assigned, to ensure that they are well, to help them with things they may be in need of help with and just try to be a good friend. When I was 21 years old I had the opportunity to go on a mission and serve for 18 months in an area that I was assigned to, to share with the people we met about the restored gospel of Jesus Christ, it was a wonderful opportunity and I had many amazing experiences. As members of the church we are also encouraged to share the gospel as often as we can so that others can have the opportunity to know about the gospel of Jesus Christ.
