Hi I'm John

I am a husband and father. I am a Police Detective. I love to learn and spend time with my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy being a father to my three kids. The world we live in is lacking effective fathers who are there to help guide their kids to be productive and useful future leaders. I am constantly trying to improve myself in this area, as well as trying to be the best husband to my wonderful wife. I am also a life long learner. If I were able to travel the world with my wife, and get paid to attend school, I would do this in a heartbeat. I have a goal to publish a book someday and earn a doctorate degree. I also enjoy being able to help other people and assist in bringing happiness into their lives.

Why I am a Mormon

Well this is the question now isn't it, but simply put the answer is because God has confirmed in my heart that this is the only true church. God is our Father in Heaven and as our Father he is wanting to be involved in our lives, as much as we choose to allow him to be involved. As our Father, he is constantly showing us things we need to know about our personal lives, as much as we choose to see these things. I have chosen to open my eyes to these things. God answered my prayers to know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer, that a living prophet leads Christ's church today under Christ's authority, and that by abiding by gospel precepts, we can live forever with our families and loved ones after we complete our mission on earth.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is a privilege and blessing in my life. My life is meaningful and I have found peace and joy as a disciple of Jesus Christ. This doesn't mean my life is easy, but I do have an instruction manual to go to when needed. My employment in law enforcement grants me the opportunity to investigate other people's lives. I have never found anyone living with peace and happiness in their life, unless they are living the way Jesus Christ wants us to live. By living the way Christ wants me to, I have the privilege of reaping the benefits of true, never ending joy, peace, and accomplishment. I live my faith by working with one of the men's groups at church, supporting my wife as she teaches the 12- and 13-year-old young women, teaching my children the gospel, and by engaging in daily personal scripture study and prayer.
