Hi I'm Bob

I am a disciple of Christ, a father, a friend and willing to help whomever I can and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love cycling (road riding primarily) when the weather here in Arizona permits. I'm the family fixit guy and love to help our adult children with their "projects" around their homes. I believe that we are in this world to help one another and to model our lives after and work to be more like Jesus Christ. I am a husband, father, grandfather and good friend to everyone I meet and those who know me at all know that I'm a Mormon

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at the age of 28 after being taught by two missionaries who approached me as I was working in my yard. While I had always considered myself a Christian, I hadn't really considered the question of which church I attended as all that important. As the missionaries taught me about the various foundation principles of the LDS faith, each made sense and fit in with my understanding of history and religion. It was only when they taught that in the temple that families could be sealed for time and all eternity that I realized how important it was for me to be baptized. This was the first time that I had been exposed to the idea that families could be together forever. After my baptism, as I studied the Book of Mormon, my sense of the power and correctness of that book grew stronger each day.

How I live my faith

I serve in a leadership position in a ward (congregation) comprised of about 200, 18 to 30 year old single adults. The privilege that the Lord has provided me to associate with this group and to provide service to has been one of the most enriching experiences of my life. In addition to my church service, I get great satisfaction from being a friend and good neighbor. Those who know me can count on my coming to help whenever the need arises. Whether it's helping fix a computer or being the guy on the other end of the couch that needs to be moved, I look for opportunities to be a friend and to help in whatever way I can.
