Hi I'm Brianna

I'm from Alaska. I'm a future Speech-Language Pathologist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm originally from Alaska, and as I child I moved around to many places throughout the United States. I have lived in Georgia longer than I have lived anywhere else. I am currently working on my Master's Degree at the University of Georgia to be a Speech-Language Pathologist. I love to travel, I once spent a semester in Madrid, Spain. I often read, I love to watch romantic comedies and I enjoy most all forms of music. I speak English, Spanish and American Sign Language.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because this gospel simply makes sense. Those who have lived without the knowledge of the restored gospel can testify to the difference it makes in the lives of those who live it. I know that we lived with our Father in Heaven before we came to earth. I also know that we are here to bring the world His truth. I know that our Heavenly Father sent his son, Jesus Christ, to atone for our sins and to be our ultimate example. And I know that each of us has a special role in the Kingdom of God; that we might enrich the lives of others through our service and through the pure love of Christ. I have had times of trial where I was not practicing my faith, and I have learned through my experiences that true happiness cannot be found elsewhere. I love that Heavenly Father has a plan for each of us and places us into our families for a very specific reason. I believe that there is no other way to be closer to Christ than through the power of the Atonement and through the restored gospel. We live in a time where our relationship with the Savior is so crucial, and how fortunate are we to have the knowledge that families truly can be together forever. I know that my Redeemer lives. I have witnessed miracles performed in my own life and the lives of many others through the Spirit and this gospel. The message of the gospel is simple; that we might "Come unto Christ" and learn of Him, and return to be with our Father in heaven. It is my testimony that this is the most true church upon the earth.

How I live my faith

I look forward to Sunday all week. I have been a teacher of the Women's organization at church, and I have found such fulfillment in this role. As a young woman, I often wondered if I had enough knowledge to be in a position to teach other women; most of whom I felt were more qualified to teach than me. What's amazing about this gospel is that we all learn from each other. I learned so much about the gospel through teaching and I know that the other women were able to learn as well. I now help a friend in the church who teaches the three-year-olds, an age group that we call "sunbeams." She is often out of town and I am able to step in as a substitute and friend and teach these little children. What joy and power these little ones have in the church, as I know that each of them is precious to our Heavenly Father. I am honored to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with His children and I cannot think of any role that could be more important. It's important that as fellow servants of Christ we learn through each other, serve each other and most importantly, love each other. This life is a journey to be shared together, and it is not always easy. This is why I am so grateful to have a church family and a place we can go to learn and share. I am honored to serve in my church and I believe that we receive many blessings as we enrich the lives of others.
