Hi I'm Louise

I am a mother, a grandma and a great-grandma. Families are very important to me.

About Me

I like to work on our family history, and I have published one book about our family and our ancestors who sacrificed much to leave their homelands and cross the ocean to America. I am working on my own autobiography. How thankful I am for computers and that someone very patiently taught me how to use one. I try to keep our family close by sending a weekly family letter.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a Mormon, but there came a time when I had to know for myself that it was true and was the way I wanted to live my life. I wanted to be a follower of Jesus Christ, not just on Sunday, but every day of the week. I willingly serve the Lord, even in my old age. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has been the strength of my life. It is my life. I know that if I were to move almost any place in the world, a branch of the Church would welcome me and accept me the same as my family. Through my trials, I have always felt the love and comfort of my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. They lead me, guide me, and walk beside me. Through daily prayer, I know they are real and that they love me very much and are concerned about even the smallest details of my life. All of these things fill me with happiness, joy and great peace. These are some of the reasons I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I willingly serve the Lord, even in my old age. I supervised youth for many years and, with the help of others, organized many activities for them. I have enjoyed teaching youth, adults, and children. I worked with the Cub Scouts and encouraged our sons to become Eagle Scouts. I've worked on school clothing drives and have gone door-to-door for the March of Dimes and the American Heart Association.
