Hi I'm Connie

I am married and a mother to 7 children. I joined the church when I was 19 years old. The church is my life.

About Me

I was raised on a farm in Illinois with my brothers and sisters until my early elementary school years. My parents realized that farming would not meet all our needs and my father joined the Army. We were stationed at many locations in the United States and in Germany. We were taught right from wrong and to be good contributing citizens. All of my brothers and sisters, and I joined the Army. After graduation I was stationed at Fort McClellan, Alabama. I was a medic and worked at Noble Army Hospital. I was asked on a date by a young man who was on sick call often, but always had a smile. He asked me to go to church with him and I felt good about going. As I attended and was taught the beliefs of the Mormon Church it felt as though I had already known these teachings. The fact that Our Loving Father in Heaven loves me and knows me as His daughter. I knew that there was a prophet on the earth to guide us and speak for God. To be baptized just as Christ did, by immersion. I felt the Holy Spirit confirm to me that the missionaries were speaking the truth. Since I have been baptized and dedicated my life to the Lord I know that I am not alone on this journey back to my Heavenly Father. I pray daily that I might dedicate my life to Him. I hold fast to the teachings of Christ by reading my scriptures and desiring to live my life as the Savior's. I know that the Book of Mormon is another Testament of Jesus Christ, I have a personal witness. I am happy!!!

How I live my faith

It is a joy being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. As I get up each day I kneel in pray and give gratitude to my Father in Heaven. I want to dedicate my day and life to my Savior. I ask that I might be an instrument in the Lord's hand to reach those in need. I want to me a disciple of the Lord's. The Lord has blessed me and guided me all my life. I did not see this until I took the time to ponder my life. As I have made a serious effort to read the scriptures, starting with pray and ending with prayer the path to return to the Lord is opened up to me. I know the importance to repent and keep the commandments. When I do the things I am taught in the scriptures the Lord is able to reward me with the blessings I am in of at that time in my life. I know that God lives!! That Jesus is the Christ my Lord and Redeemer!!
