Hi I'm Dave

I enjoy riding motorcycles, playing golf, water skiing, and the beach. I'm a grandpa, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised on a peach ranch in Northern California, so I learned at an early age how to work. That experience of working 12 hours a day, 6 days a week during the hot summer months helped me be a productive employee throughout my work career. I have been a sales professional for over 30 years. I married a Texan girl 39 years ago, and we have lived in California, Oregon, Utah and now in Washington for the past 22 years. I am father of two sons, with 7 grandchildren. I enjoy playing tennis and golf with friends, but our annual competitive family golf outing is my favorite event of the year. I love spending time with the grand kids and being around family. I enjoy riding the back country roads on my motorcycle during the summer. We are building a cabin in the mountains of Utah to be enjoyed by family for years to come. I take pride in having a nice landscaped yard and helping the neighborhood look its best.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Mormon faith, but at a very young age I asked myself which religion I would choose for myself. I thought about it a lot, and decided that our church's teachings about being a good family was a fine way to live. As far as I could tell, Mormons were producing good Christian people with great family values. That was what I wanted for my life. As I grew older I knew that wasn't enough. I met people in college who challenged my faith and I determined to learn for myself why I was a Mormon. From that time on I began recognizing spiritual promptings and have had several experiences that solidified my beliefs. I have read the Book of Mormon and prayed to God, asking if it's teaching were true. I accepted a call to serve a mission for our church in England for two years, where I served people of all ages learn more about our Savior. That experience of interrupting college, leaving family and friends, and serving others in a far off land, along with an answer to prayer has provided me a solid belief in our Savior and our Mormon faith. Living the Mormon way has made me a better and happier person.

How I live my faith

I have been instrumental in helping Young Adults ( ages 18 - 30) find their way in life, which includes religion, education, jobs, marriages etc. which I found very rewarding. I currently teach a New Testament class to adult members of our local ward. I strive each day to be a good Christian to my peers, co workers, and especially our neighbors.
