Hi I'm Anna-Cajsa

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a busy mom of three active girls, which means I'm always running around to many PTA events, after-school sports and activities, and being involved in the community. You can find me at volunteering at schools, volunteering at the local clothing bank, running my youngest daughter's school fundraiser, at the gym where I train for sprint triathlons, in my basement sewing dresses (lots with three girls!) or Halloween costumes, and at church teaching Primary, but everywhere I go and everything I do, I'll always have a book to read somewhere nearby.

Why I am a Mormon

In the middle of hectic, scheduled lives, I love the perspective the gospel brings. This life is not just about putting together an impressive resume to get ahead in the physical world. Knowing that I am a daughter of God helps me understand that there is a spiritual side that balances out the world we live in. I believe that Jesus Christ is our Redeemer and Savior, and that Joseph Smith restored the true church to this earth. This testimony has helped me to do make the choices that will help me in my journey to live with Heavenly Father again.

How I live my faith

Most often, I teach young children on Sundays in Primary meetings. I have been a teacher to most age groups under 12, the chorister in Primary, and the Activity Days leader (girls' ages 8-12 after school activity group). I love teaching Primary because I am able to help the children gain the knowledge of the gospel they need to develop strong testimonies. Right now, I am teaching 8-10 year olds about the New Testament. It is great to teach them about the life of our Savior. My favorite book of scripture, though, is the Old Testament. I also taught early-morning Seminary (before school scripture study for high school aged youth) with my husband. Our curriculum that year was about Joseph Smith, the restoration of the church, and latter-day revelation. It is wonderful to know that Heavenly Father loves us enough to give us direction today through prophets just like He did in the Old Testament. I also serve as a visiting teacher. I visit several other women frequently and strengthen them spiritually and help in any other way they may need. My daughters call this "seeing the Mommy friends." I love that the church give us a support system that we can call on at any time when we might need a little assistance. As I have gotten to know these other women, I have learned so much from them. I spend a lot of time in my community. I feel it is important to serve others, because Jesus Christ served all of us.

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Anna-Cajsa
The Bible is absolutely wonderful! I enjoy reading and studying the Bible. The Old Testament is my favorite book of scripture, because it shows that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love us and have guided the world since Adam and Eve. We study the Bible in our church classes, we read the Bible, we revere the Bible as the word of God. The Book of Mormon does not replace the Bible, it supplements the Bible. It shows that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love ALL mankind, and have spoken to prophets around the world and in all times. We also have modern prophets to supplement the Bible and the Book of Mormon to guide us today. Show more Show less
