Hi I'm Chris

I grew up in Southern Idaho on a large cattle ranch/farm and have lived in Arizona for the past 30 years. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, mother to five wonderful children, and grandmother to thirteen grandchildren from ages 4 to 14. Surrounding myself with these people is what brings me the greatest joy! I enjoy cooking but hate the cleaning up. I love to go to lunch with my friends and enjoy shopping when I have money! I love Christmas and the joy the season brings through friends, music, and being able to find that one special gift for someone! I also like to travel, read, quilt, scrapbook, and play the piano and organ. A friend and I have lots of fun playing duets. I have given hundreds of piano lessons over the years and also worked in an office managing the payroll and other accounting duties. I love my Savior, Jesus Christ!

Why I am a Mormon

The Mormon faith has always been a part of my life. I have great-grand-parents that came on immigrant ships from England and traveled across the plains with the pioneers. One ancestor died at sea and another somewhere near the Platt River. Their stories are very special to me and I enjoy reading and learning about their lives. My personal testimony began when I was a small child and my grandmother was my Sunday School Teacher. I loved going with her and remember feeling very special and loved. As my testimony has grown and been strenthened over the years, I have come to recognize that feeling as the Spirit of our Heavenly Father. I belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I know that it's teachings are true. The church was was restored to the earth in the 1830's patterned after the church Christ, himself, established. I love knowing, and give my witness, that we have a living prophet, Thomas S. Monson, that leads and guides us on the earth today! One of my favorite doctrines is that of eternal marriage and families. It brings great joy to my heart knowing that there is life after death and that I will be able to be with the people I love so much throughout eternity. I know Jesus Christ is my Savior and that He loves me and has atoned for my sins. I have felt His divine intervention during the coarse of my life and have experienced special, sacred, times as my prayers have been answered.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying each day to keep the commandments of God. I try to be kind and friendly to others and participate in church activities. I go to church every Sunday and to the temple frequently. I play the organ for our Sunday meetings and also help supervise the early morning youth seminary program. My husband and I are also making plans to go on a full-time mission soon.
