Hi I'm Peter.

I enjoy working hard and a good vacation. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm married with two college-aged sons. Family means a lot to me. I've spent much of my free time the past 15 years or so involved with my sons sports teams. I coached soccer until their ability level out-distanced my coaching ability. Then when they switched their allegiance from soccer to hockey, my wife and I continued to be their biggest fans. Besides, what would we do with a free Saturday, anyway?

Why I am a Mormon

As a teenager I was involved in a large Methodist youth group. I really enjoyed the social aspect of our fellowship. I wanted more than just a social experience. Our choir director told our group that there was more to what we were about than just being together. I really wanted to find out he was talking about. I turned to the Bible trying to discover what I was missing. At that young age I didn't entirely understand what I was reading, but I knew I was reading of God's interaction with his people on earth. It a was a testimonial of Jesus Christ, our Savior. During this period of time when I was reading the Bible, I was given a copy of the Book of Mormon. To me it read like the Bible and testified of Messiah. After some discovery I learned for myself that these two great books work hand in hand to teach us of our Christ's purpose and His plan for us. I embraced the message the Mormons had and was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I'm a member of a church which thrives because we are all volunteers. I have willingly served in dozens of positions from full-time missionary to assistant librarian. My personal fulfillment and enrichment comes by serving other people when I can lose myself in helping other people.
