Hi I'm MaryAnn

I am outgoing, enthusiastic and happy. I raise 4 kids and go to school part time and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the 7th of 8 children. I loved growing up in a big family! My brothers and sisters are AWESOME! I have parents who love me and taught me that I can become anything I set my mind to. My dad passed away almost 3 years ago. I miss him! I have freckles. Professionally - I have chosen to be a mother and it is the most rewarding and difficult job on the planet! What other life experience gives on the job training from 4 experts 24/7? My 4 kids are amazing people and they keep me busy. This year I have mastered the skill of taxi driver. I spend a lot of time in the car driving my kids to the things they are involved in, and attending their practices, games and concerts and helping out in their school classrooms. I love to play board games and card games. I am a competitor. I like to win! I am back in school after taking a 15 year break to have my family. It has been a life long goal of mine to get a bachelors degree. I am studying Speech and Hearing Science. It is difficult figuring out how to be a student again. I exercise at the gym 4-5 times a week early in the morning. I don't always love to go, but I am always glad I went.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in an active Mormon family. I was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints when I was 8 years old. Growing up LDS, or Mormon, was a great experience. As a child I read the Holy Bible and The Book of Mormon in my home. I began to believe and that turned into hope and faith and that faith has blossomed in my heart to a knowledge that both books are true doctrine of the Savior Jesus Christ. That simple seed of faith has led me to continue to this very day to read the scriptures, and ponder them. I have been prayerful throughout my life. My pleadings and communication with a Heavenly Father whom I know knows and loves me is my greatest comfort in life. I am a child of God! God loves us, his children, as much as he did his children in biblical times. He gave his people a prophet because of that love. He desires to save us in order for us to live with him again. And so he loves us today! I know that there is a prophet of God on the earth today, Thomas S. Monson, and he has the priesthood keys that can lead us to faithfully follow our Savior Jesus Christ and open the gates to eternal glory. I know that through Holy Temples families can be together forever through saving ordinances. The suffering of our Savior, and his atonement, was for me. That atonement allows me repentance, faithfulness, and grace and by that I have the opportunity to once again live with my Heavenly Father, his Son, and my family throughout all eternity!

How I live my faith

My family has scripture study in the mornings before school. It's a great way to get the day going. We maintain Monday night as a "Family Night." It is one of the best nights of the week, beacuse we learn and laugh together onad make time for eachother. As a member of my faith I currently serve in an organization called "Primary." That means I volunteer my time to help teach the children ages 18 months - 11 years and their teachers. We focus on the more simple aspects of the doctrine of the Savior and his teachings i.e. I am a child of God, My Heavenly Father loves me.
