Hi I'm Becka

I grew up/live in Nevada. I am assistant editor for my highschool newspaper. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 16, a junior in highschool, I am assistant editor for my school paper. I am on my schools track team. I enjoy running. reading, hiking, listening to music, and spending time with my family and friends. I love making people laugh, I am always looking for fun. I wasnt always on the righteous path, but I have made some changes in my life. And became the young women I always wanted to be.

Why I am a Mormon

I chose to become a member because it made my life brighter and gave it more meaing. I used to hate being labled Mormon, but as I continued to read the sriptures I came to an undertanding. Over the summer I was on a spiritual high, where all I did was read the Book of Mormon, pray and listen to uplifting music. This "high" lasted for a week, I then came to a realization that the gospel is true. I am now more spiritual then I have ever thought to be. A school my peers have notced a change in me and they tell me, and I know its the spirit burning inside me. I am so thankful to be a Latter Day Saint, it has made me who I am. And I finally love who I am.

How I live my faith

I share my testimony each fast sunday. I share the gospel with my peers. I participate in daily scripture study and pray. I hold myself high and keep my standards high. I dress modeslty and keep my thoughts and language clean.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Becka
A testimony is ones belief about the gospel. The foundation of a testimony is the knowledge the Hevenly Fathe lves, that Christ died for us and was resurrected. That Joseph Smith was a true prohpet that restored the gospel upon this Earth, that today we hav a living prophet who teaches us and guides us through the spirit. And that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints is the restored church on the earth today. Show more Show less
