Hi I'm Teesha

I'm a college student. I'm a daughter, a sister, and a friend. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to read, cook, bake, spend time outdoors, play games and spend time with my family, swim, dance, act, sing, and listen to and play music. I am from a family of seven boys and four girls. We have moved around quite a bit and have grown even closer to each other through each move. We love spending time with each other whether we're making a homemade movie, playing games, having a late night discussion, or simply eating at the dinner table. I had the opportunity to graduate one year early from high school after a lot of time and hard work and am currently a student at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah studying recreational therapy. I love a challenge, especially the feeling I get once I've successfully completed it.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up surrounded by a loving family who has raised me in the Gospel. They have taught me to love my Heavenly Father and my Savior, Jesus Christ and to live a life of righteousness. They have strong testimonies and have never been reluctant to share them. I, personally, have gained a testimony for myself. I can testify with all my heart that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only true church on this earth and that the Book of Mormon is truly another testament of Jesus Christ. I have read it from cover to cover multiple times and know it to be true. I feel the blessings of being a member of this church every single day and would not have it any other way. I know who I am, why I am here on this Earth, where I came from, and where I am going after this life. I know that my Heavenly Father has a plan in store for me that only I can accomplish. He will always guide me and offer me help as long as I trust in Him and live a righteous life in the footsteps of Christ. I know that when I make mistakes, through Christ's atonement, I can repent and be forgiven of my sins as I strive to live a life like the Savior lived. There are no words to describe the joy and happiness that the Gospel has brought into my life. I know that the Lord loves me; that He loves everyone no matter what. I know that Jesus Christ is my Redeemer; and I know that I am a child of God.

How I live my faith

Every day I strive to be an example of my faith. I am preparing to be a loving mother for my future family. A mother who will raise her kids in righteousness with the knowledge that they are never alone in the world-Heavenly Father is always there and He loves them. I want my future home to be a place of refuge from the wickedness of the world; I want it to be a holy place just like my home is right now. I am preparing by serving in my home, in my ward, in my school, and in my community. Jesus Christ spent His whole life in the service of others so I try to spend my life as He did-serving others. I love babysitting for mothers in need of assistance, helping fellow students with their schoolwork, helping my mom around the house, caring for my many siblings, taking advantage of service projects when they come along, and serving members of my ward. I strive to act on every prompting I receive to help someone. I know that we are on this earth to help one another return to our Father in Heaven. The prophets have said that the Lord often answers prayers through others. So many blessings, miracles, and friendships result from service and I have experienced many. I love being an influence for good. I want others to want to be better when they are around me just as I have the benefit of being surrounded by so many righteous, faithful people every day. I know that I have a long way to go before I am perfect, but I know that if I make that my goal now, the Lord will bless me.
