Hi I'm Wendy

I'm a wife. I'm a mother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a stay at home mom to three girls and one boy. My days are filled with diapers, driving, housework, food, laundry, refereeing, cleaning, helping with homework and playing. I enjoy organizing, but I reserve the right to have a few drawers and cupboards that aren't organized. I love spending time with my husband.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church. My testimony has always been there, but it's certainly something I have also had to work for. I am blessed to have always had the knowledge that there is a God in heaven who loves me and has a plan for me. I was raised by loving parents who set an example of service for me to follow. I was recently reading in some of the journals I had kept through high school and college. I had forgotten about some of the down times I had then when things didn't work out as I had planned. My dad reminded me then (I am so glad I recorded it) that I have had to WORK for everything I have wanted. I find that to be true even now, 15 years later, that anything I want, it needs work, lots of work. As I have worked, I have come to know that I cannot do this on my own. It is through the help and guidance of the Holy Ghost that I have been able to excel and accomplish anything in my life. Especially being a wife and a mother. I am a Mormon because I know that the truth of God's plan is in this church, His Church. Heaven knows I need a plan, I am a planner! I know that when I am doing what the Lord wants me to do, that then, and only then am I truly happy.

How I live my faith

I get the opportunity to live my faith daily in my home. It's always been in my mind that I am missionary to the children that are mine. It's my responsibility to help convert these little people, to help them gain testimonies of their own. To help them come to know who Jesus Christ is, to understand that they have a Heavenly Father who loves them, and is mindful of them personally. I want more than anything for my children to always know that their mother's faith has never wavered. That I have always understood that when we keep the commandments that the Lord has set, that he blesses us. But to also understand that when life gets hard (and it does), that we can turn to Heavenly Father. He can help us. And most importantly, that we can help others. We can be His hands and serve our fellow men and be answers to their prayers.
