Hi I'm Glenna

I am mother of 7 and grandmother of 25 grandsons & 9 grandaughters. My greatest joy is being a wife and mother. I am a Mormon!

About Me

I was raised by a wonderful mother who taught through her example. My father died when I was just a year old, but I have felt his spirit in my life many times. I married my sweatheart and have been married nearly 50 years. He is my Hero! We have been blessed with 7 beautiful children who are our greatest blessing. To see their testimonies of the Savior grow, and to see them in action serving and giving, is my greatest joy. I am so grateful for the teachings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It gives our lives direction, and is a tremendous road map for raising a family. We also have 32 fabulous grandchildren and 2 adorable great grandchildren. My greatest joys are found in seeing my children following our Savior and teaching their children to pray, read their scriptures, and serve others. My family is my life. God’s plan for us is truly a “Plan of Happiness.” Life has not always been easy, but by following the Savior’s plan for us, we have been truly blessed. We have a fun loving family who have learned to work hard & play hard. Because of this we have had many wonderful experiences serving others and having fun together. Knowing that I am a Child of God and that he has a plan for me has gotten me through some tough times. I know that he knows me personally and that he loves me and will hear and answer my prayers.

Why I am a Mormon

am a Mormon because I know God lives and that Jesus Christ is my Savior. I know that Joseph Smith saw God the Father and his Son Jesus Christ, and that he restored the Gospel of Jesus Christ again to the earth. I was raised by a mother who taught me of my Savior. She taught me to pray and to trust in the Lord. I think I always knew the gospel was true, but when I left for school I wanted to know for myself. I did a lot of study and prayer, and I know without a doubt that this is God’s Church upon the earth. I am grateful for a Prophet of God on the earth who leads and guides this church through revelation. I am grateful that I can receive through the spirit answers for myself and my family. I love the Church emphasis on the family, and the organizations of the church that help us teach and direct our families to the Savior. None of us are perfect, but we gather strength from one another. Every day I see many acts of kindness and love that bind us together as a people. I know that the Priesthood of God is again upon the earth and can bless our lives. I believe I am here today because of the power of that Priesthood. When I was pregnant with my first child I had a cerebral hemorrhage, was very sick, and lost my eyesight. It was through the power of Priesthood blessings that I am alive, my child is alive, and that I have regained my sight. I know that it is real. I am so grateful for my knowledge of my Heavenly Father’s Plan. Our second son was born with a heart defect and was not expected to live. Through prayer and Priesthood blessings he blessed our lives for almost 6 years. It is such a great comfort to know that we will see him again, have the opportunity to raise him, and be reunited as a family. Our Heavenly Father wants us to be happy and he has provided the way. I love that!

How I live my faith

I try each day to live the teachings of the Savior so I can know the things he would have me do. I am not perfect, and I make a lot of mistakes. That is the beauty of what the Savior has done for me with the Atonement. I can repent and try each day to be better. I have had many opportunities to grow as I have served in the different organizations of the Church. I have loved serving with the young women, and am amazed at their strength. My life has been blessed as I have served the women. The many acts of kindness done each day are a testimony to me of how our sisters love their Savior and each other. There is a Great feeling of love and camaraderie among the women and I love being a part of that. My husband and I were blessed to be able to go on a mission to Paraguay South America. We learned to love the humble people there. They have so little, but give so much. They love the Lord and are so receptive to the teachings of the Savior. They are an inspiration to me as they sacrifice everything to enjoy the blessings of the Gospel. We were blessed to be able to be taught by them, and to share with them some of the things we have learned through our service in the church. We love them. We also were privileged to serve a mission at the Polynesian Cultural Center in Hawaii. You can see the Lord’s hand every day in the operation of the Center. It was a privilege to be a part of that and to feel the special spirit that is there. These people are humble wonderful people who love their Savior. Their example blessed our lives in so many ways. We had the opportunity to serve in the church with the students from all over the world who came to go to school at the Brigham Young University. We have been ordinance workers in the Mesa Arizona Temple for six years. It is such a privilege to serve there. In the Temple we can receive the blessings of Eternity. It is a very special and sacred place. I love the Temple and love to be there
