Hi I'm Holly C

I am a 19 year old BYU student about to go on an LDS mission to Costa Rica.

About Me

I am 19 years old and just finished my first year of college at BYU studying English. I am putting college on hold to serve a full time mission for the LDS church in Costa Rica. I am excited for this opportunity to serve and to teach. I love to travel and loved living in gorgeous Utah, it is one of my life goals to visit all of the National Parks. I love to read and write and teach. Music is a part of my life as well, I have sung since before I could talk.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because living the way prescribed by the Mormon church gives my life joy and purpose. I have been a member all of my life, but as I have experimented on the word of the prophets, tested the boundaries and acted in opposition to their teachings, I have found that I am not as happy. In contrast, times when I have tried to keep the Holy Ghost with me through obedience to the prophets and times I have lived in accordance with the teachings of the Savior and the Book of Mormon, I have been more joyful and my ability to love others has increased.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in the daily stuff- reading The Book of Mormon and the Bible, praying always, going to church on Sundays and attending the temple as often as I can. At school I was a Relief Society teacher and Gospel Doctrine teacher and I loved going through the lessons and leading discussions in class. I let my faith guide my life and the Holy Ghost guide my life as I have had to make major decisions and following the directions of living prophets and the Holy Ghost has enabled me to find great joy and fulfillment in my life. My faith is a major influence on my world view and perspective and has enabled me to find greater understanding and love for my fellow man.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Holly C
We believe that families were and are, central to the creators plan because it is in the family that we can experience the fullness of joy that comes from the friendships we create and the children we have the potential to bear. Show more Show less
