Hi I'm Blaine

I'm retired, I like bicycle riding and I try to look for ways to help others. I'm a father and a grandfather and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm retired but I'm always looking for ways to be of service to others. I recently served a church mission in Africa with my wife and hope to be able to serve again soon. I enjoy bicycle riding alone or on the tandem with my wife. The best thing about being a father is that you can than be a grandfather. Grandchildren are wonderful. I'm retired from business, but I still enjoy learning and helping others. It's a lot less stressful when you aren't trying to make a living.

Why I am a Mormon

To know that Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father love us is very comforting to me. As I experience life I learn how they can love me inspite of some of my decisions and actions. I attend His church because it renews or recharges my spiritual batteries. I enjoy life here and I'm convinced that the next life will be even better. I am grateful for a plan created by God that will bring me back to Him.

How I live my faith

I was recently assigned with a companion to visit the home of a member that had not attended church for a few years. I was told that he was not very receptive. After a few months I found out he was having some difficulties with his business. I asked if I could help as I had a lot of business experience. Through that we became friends and I learned a lot of what his struggles were. He thinks I did this to help him, which is true but I think I received the greatest blessings knowing that I helped someone else with some real problems.
