Hi I'm Mark

I'm a father, a husband, a brother, a vegetarian, a member of my community, an educator, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I’m a proud father of 3 beautiful and intelligent children. Being a father has been the most rewarding and fun experience of my life. I truly enjoy spending time with my family, and am grateful that I have a job that lets me spend most of the day with them. My wife and I have been married for 7 years, and love each other more each day we are married. I value education, and am proud to be the first member of my family to earn a master’s degree. I teach computer networking at a community college and enjoy helping others achieve their educational goals. I also enjoy reading, and believe we can always stimulate our minds through lifelong learning. My wife and I enjoy food and cooking together. When, for health reasons, we decided to become vegetarians we made it our goal to enjoy new kinds of foods. We love experimenting with new things and showing others that a healthier lifestyle can be enjoyable. I enjoy spending time outdoors and traveling. It is amazing to me to see the variety and beauty of God’s creation.

Why I am a Mormon

I’m a Mormon because it is true. I have prayed to know for myself, and I have received that answer. The longer I am a member of the church, and the more I develop a relationship with my savior Jesus Christ, the more I am assured of the truthfulness of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through participation. I enjoying going to church each week and learning more, but this is not a faith of passive hearing, rather it is a faith of doing. We each have a unique contribution and are often times asked to teach, share, and help strengthen others. I live my faith by teaching my children about their savior. My wife and I work hard to provide our children a home where they can feel the Holy Spirit. We teach them to pray, the importance of reading the scriptures, the importance of reverence so that they can hear the Lord speaking to them, and to act upon those promptings. I live my faith by being an example of that faith to others.
