Hi I'm Jerry Craft

I am a professional blues slide guitarist and played in Nashville, TN for many years. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a professional musician (guitarist), playing many styles of music for over half of my life. I have played with many different artists and performed all over the country both live and in the studio. I am currently playing with a delta blues acoustic trio. I have also worked for the Harley-Davidson Motor Company since 2006 and just recently resigned that position. (Bike sales is a tough gig these days.) I am currently utilizing my college education degree and privately tutoring academic subjects between music responsibilities. I have three adult children and one grand daughter. I like to play my guitars, ride motorcycles, bicycles, walk, run, and spend time with my new church friends. I hope to meet more fellow mormons... perhaps you!

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized on June 11th of 2011. The missionaries came for several visits to my home and shared the love of Christ with me. I sought Heavenly Father through this time and knew in my heart it was the path I needed to choose. I had followed my Native American beliefs for quite a while but becoming a mormon offered a more complete and peaceful spiritual path. The mormon church is the true church of Jesus Christ and I am honored to be a member. The focus on family, service, education, and financial responsibility are all things dear to my heart, and Heavenly Father encourages me every day with these opportunities. His love for me is faithful and real. My life now has purpose and direction, and I look forward to spending eternity in his presence.

How I live my faith

I am a ward missionary and love my new calling. I work hand-in-hand with our missionaries to spread the wonderful love I have had the privilege of experiencing. The missionaries and I have developed a news letter, "The Missionary Minute", for our ward to keep members updated on missionary activities. The news letter has been welcomed and is becoming a regular part of our ward activities. Personally, I try to live my daily life in a way that honors Heavenly Father. The challenges and tests come often, but with His strength, I can and do pass with success. My life is full and happy now that I walk with Him. I hope you will allow Heavenly Father to walk with you, too!

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Jerry Craft
Some of the things that tell me there is a God are times I am riding my harley and Heavenly Father is communing with me. That is such a wonderful feeling to have Him along for the ride. Also, riding a motorcycle puts you right next to His wonderful creations. The trees, the wind, the smell of grass, the feel of a bug flying past your nose... Just the little things like that. I can feel His presence and peace during those times. Show more Show less
