Hi I'm Christi

I'm a wife, sister to six, aunt to many, mother to one and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated from ASU with a Bachelor's degree in English and shortly thereafter received my teaching certificate. I like to write, sing, play the piano and read in my spare time when my child is taking a nap. I met my husband on a blind date and we were married and sealed in the Mesa, Arizona Temple about eight years ago. We like to cook together as a family and are currently working on getting out of debt and saving up for the future.

Why I am a Mormon

I was lucky to be born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and because of my parents' examples I too have experienced the wonderful blessings of being a member of this church. In a world where there are so many distractions and influences to steer me any which way, having the gospel in my life and keeping the Lord's commandments have kept me safe on many occasions. As long as I follow the Lord's counsel and listen to the prophets I will know how best to live a more Christ-like life and have a better relationship with my Heavenly Father and my Savior.

How I live my faith

I feel that little children are as close to Heaven as we can get here on this earth and that's why I am so blessed to be a mother. Helping my child learn new things helps me to remember the wonderful creations that Heavenly Father has given us. I have the privilege of playing the piano for the primary aged children (4-11) in my church. Helping these kids learn songs about how much our Heavenly Father loves us instills in me the same lessons that I learned when I was their age.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Christi
Yes! I am so grateful for the knowledge that I can be with my husband forever! To know, that even in death we are not separated is incredibly comforting. The children that we have because my husband and I have been sealed to each other and the families we come from can be with us forever! Knowing that I can be with my loved ones that have passed on from this life is a blessing. We don't have to say goodbye, we can say see you later, because we will! I love my family and I am grateful I can be with them for eternity. Show more Show less
