Hi I'm Robert

I was born in Germany and lived all over the world as my father was in the airforce and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a father of 4 and a husband to a wonderfull wife. We enjoy camping, geocaching, fishing and traveling to new places. I work for Redbox and enjoy being a part of a company that provides families with cheap entertainment. My hobbies include target shooting, all things high tech and love to read a good book.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a family that didnt go to church or even discuss religion. When I was 15 I made friends with guy in high school that was a member of the church and rapidly became best friends with him. His family took me in as if I was one of them and they had 8 children. For the next 6 years i got to experiance 1st hand how wonderfull a family life could be that was gospel centered. When my best friend went off on a mission for 2 years after high school I also went out on my own and could feel the difference in my life not spending time with his family. 2 years later when he returned from his mission I asked to know more about his beliefs and at that time he introduced me to the missionaries and i began to learn about Christs' church and his plan for me. Then while talking to another friend that wasnt a church member who had misconceptions about our beliefs I felt the spirit burn inside of me to correct him and when I did it made him stop and appologize that he had obviusly upset me and then he asked when I had joined the church? But I hadnt joined and wasnt planning on joining any church. When I stopped and thought about what just happened I had to excuse myself as I was overwhelmed with feelings I had not ever had before about the church. That day I said my first prayer asking Heavenly Father to let me know if the church was true and if I should join and the answere was so strong that I still to this day can feel it and its been over 16 years. I was baptised 4 days later and have been very blessed every day since.

How I live my faith

I believe being like Christ in my dealings with others, I love all, quick to forgive and help anyone I can. I believe we all must give Christ like charity and love and have served in my community as a Scout Master, Organized charity events for the homeless, Provided service to organizations that help families in need. I went on my own mission to Italy after converting as I felt it important to help teach others the things I learned and knew were true and could bless others lives.
