Hi I'm Sue

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and a mother fo two beautiful children. It amazes me to see how quickly my children are growing up so fast. I have been fortunate to be able to be home with my children . They are in second and sixth grade. I decided to find a job during their school time. I look back and realize the sacrifice I chose to make to be home for my children. Not working for twelve years made it harder to find work. I found a job at a gas station part time. I feel I had to start some where. I love my husband and children and I am grateful to have a family.

Why I am a Mormon

My mother was catholic and joined the church when I was very young. I was baptized at eight and have been an official member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Growing up and learning the basic principals of the church has been a part of life. As a teeneager I struggled with the many difficulties of life making bad choices and choosing many friends that were not so uplifting. I look back and I see how far from the path I have strayed. I guess I just didn't quite understand the whole concept of a testimony and accepting who I am and where I'm going and where I'm headed. Until I became a mother. I want my children to learn of the savior and his goodness. To choose right from wrong and to create and build a relationship with our Heavenly Father. Again I strayed. I now have married a wonderful man, but we both come from different religious backgrounds. I decided through many experiences, that I need to set the example. Something so miraculous happened to me when I decided I cannot live and make these wrong decisions anymore. I felt so lost and I knew I needed to really make changes. I knelt in prayer because I felt I really needed direction. My family was falling apart. Something peirced me so deeply that I could not explain nor deny what I felt. I had so much faith that I knew I could move a mountain. I knew what I needed to do and I knew that Heavenly Father loves me. Things became so clear. Now, I am trying to share and show the way for my children. My husband is not a Mormon and doesn't have the same beliefs as me. It's a struggle, but i still continue to be faithful and diligent in keeping the commandments and doing those things that will not allow me to stray again. I strive to live more righteously not only for myself, but also to strengthen my relationship with the lord, marriage, and family.

How I live my faith

I have been recently been given a calling as secretary in the Young Women's Presidency. I am from a small ward so I feel fortunate to be blessed with this opportunity to teach these young women. I also have the responsibility to visit with about six of the women of my ward each month. It gives me the opportunity to visit with them in there homes and serve them as well. It is my duty to seek for their individual needs to help them in there time of need.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Sue
I know that there is a God. I know he lives! I know this because I talk to him and I can feel of his love and goodness. I know he loves me and he is there for me. I have had many struggles and I when I kneel and pray to him, I am comforted and I feel spiritually uplifted. Blessings come when you strive to do those things he require from you. Miracles happen and even when things aren't clear immediately, you begin to understand. Show more Show less
