Hi I'm Scott

I'm a husband and father of a fun spunky little red-head daughter. I'm an optometrist and serve in the military. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love my family and enjoy doing things together. I especially enjoy traveling, seeing new sights, and experiencing new things. I also enjoy running, hiking, skiing, scuba diving, basketball, football, and photography. I love to "capture the moment" with my camera and find great satisfaction in doing the little things that make others smile.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been blessed with wonderful parents who taught me the restored gospel of Jesus Christ from my youth. Daily family prayer and scripture study and weekly attendance at church and other activities fostered a rich soil where the Spirit of God could work on me regularly. It is because of this--my personal witness from God through the Holy Ghost that I know this Church is true. Growing up I knew my parents and church leaders had a burning testimony of Christ and his gospel, but I had to find out for myself, and I did. My testimony did not come at once, but has continued to grow and grow through the years as I have studied and lived the gospel. I do not know everything about the gospel. I am still learning like all of us, but this I know without question, that God lives. We are His children. He loves us. He answers prayer. And if we are sincere in wanting to know the truth He will guide us and help us obtain it. I have not seen God. I have not seen Jesus Christ. But I have felt the influence and power of the Holy Ghost--over and over and over again. It is real. And by that power I have gained my personal testimony of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. The message of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ and His Church upon the earth is the greatest message in all the world. It has brought me the greatest happiness in my life. This is why I am a Mormon and why I am anxious to share this glad message with all.

How I live my faith

I strive to live the principles of the gospel and follow the example of Jesus Christ. I do my best to love and serve my family and others by using the talents and gifts God has blessed me with. Currently I am serving as a Scout leader for the boys in our local congregation. As leaders we work with our young men to help them advance toward their Eagle Scout Award and cultivate those values that Christ emulated that make each of us good neighbors and citizens in our communities. I also actively seek opportunities to share the restored truths of the gospel with my friends and others and invite them to learn more.
