Hi I'm Rebecca

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been diabetic for 28 years but have been blessed with good health. I served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Tucson, Arizona, United States at the age of 21. I met and married my husband after my return and we have been married for 15 years. I am the mother of six beautiful children. They have been my greatest accomplishment and my pride and joy. I have been a stay at home Mom since they were born. After my husband was laid off from his job 5 years ago we decided that it was time to go back to school and finish his Bachelor's degree. He is now finished with his degree and has been looking for employment for almost a year now and I have been watching extra children. Getting through the past 5 years has been a great trial in our lives but we have been blessed and have learned much from all that we have been through. Living the Gospel of Jesus Christ gives me hope and builds my faith.

Why I am a Mormon

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the Lord's church here upon the earth. He stands at the head of it. There is a living prophet and apostles on the earth today just as in ancient times. Worthy men hold the priesthood that gives them power to act in God's name and to perform saving ordinances like baptism. Joseph Smith questioned which of all the many churches on the earth were true, expecting that his prayer would be answered. I have done so too and know for myself, through the Lord's spirit, that The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and is true. Joseph Smith was called to be a prophet of God and through him The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was restored to the earth. The church brings me great comfort, joy, and peace and I am so happy to be a member of it.

How I live my faith

I work hard each and every day to teach my six children to keep the commandments of God and to do things that would be pleasing to their Father in Heaven. Each week we meet together as a family to have a "lesson" on a gospel subject that will help us grow closer as a family and become better sons and daughters of God. We read scriptures together and say prayers together as a family. Friends may come and go in this life but our family will always be our family and it is important to make sure we are a strong unit and that we continue to love and care for each other.
