Hi I'm Christine

I'm a wife and mom...and can't wait to be a grandma someday! I love people and learning and helping others. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in Arizona and met my husband when I was 18 years old. We got married a year later in the Arizona Temple back in 1989. We have one daughter, who is now married, and three sons who keep us active and busy. I love to exercise and try new things and through the years have run a marathon, skydived, hiked to the top of the Superstition Mountains, attempted Irish dancing, got my Carry Concealed Weapons Permit, and graduated from the Arizona Cowboy College where I now go ride and help out with horses once a week. I have helped out in my children's schools, my husband's work, and try to stay active in my community as well as my church. Family is very important to me, and with all of our siblings living near-by, we try to make an effort to stay close to everyone despite busy schedules. I have very good friends and appreciate the love and support I feel from those around me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was raised by parents who live by its gospel teachings well. I don't remember a time in my life that I didn't know the Church was true. I've had many experiences that have witnessed its truth to me. One Saturday morning as a very young child sitting at our Primary Program practice, we were singing "The Spirit of God". As we began the chorus, singing with all our might, you could hear "others" singing. It was so incredible, our music director began to cry and said can you hear the angels singing along with us? They are here. I have felt the Holy Ghost witness to me countless times the truthfulness of this gospel, when music has been sung, when testimonies have been shared, when scriptures have been opened, when prayers have been answered, when the priesthood has been used on my behalf and on the behalf of others. I absolutely love that my membership in this Church allows me the opportunity to be better, to try harder, to have more peace and joy than I have ever experienced or would ever experience if I didn't have it in my life. Because of this gospel I know I can have ALL that my Heavenly Father and Savior offer me, if I will remain faithful to the things I have promised.....and knowing that only encourages me to DO and BE what He asks.

How I live my faith

Right now I am one of the Gospel Doctrine Teachers in my Home Ward, but my husband was just recently called as the Branch President to the Young Single Adult Branch in our Stake, and I was also called to be a Single Adult Rep./Advisor. It's an awesome thing to work alongside our youth and young adults as they are so bright and full of energy and really have so much to offer the world. I am encouraged by their example. I have also been a visiting teacher since the age of 17 and am now nearing 42. I have such a great appreciation for this program, and know that reaching out to others and serving is what makes a difference. It is also where I can feel the love of my Savior most, when I am serving someone else. As I go about running in lots of different directions, I always try to live my faith by being positive and happy and sharing the gospel with my conversation and everyday living.
