Hi I'm Lee Wach

I'm a Mormon. I work and teach Boy Scouts about Indian and Mountain Man Lore.

About Me

I enjoy crafts from the past. I make Native American style flutes, leather canteens, possiible bags, medicine bags, knives, elk whistles, Native war shirts, and bonnetts, and leather clothing for the mountain man. I also attend rendezvous's and am one of the directors of the Native American Flute Festival held in Springdale Utah each May, called Zion's Flute Festival. I impersonate people from the American Revolutionary War to the end of the Civil War. I also instruct Boy Scouts of America on how to make all the above crafts I do.

Why I am a Mormon

I come from a great heritage of Mormon History, my ancestors coming across the plains to Utah in the late 1840's. Being raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was a great blessing, but I did not know if it was true until I was almost 18 years old. I came home from school one day after a friend of mine told me that if I had born born in a different christian home I would a part of that faith. I was bothered by that observation, and asked my Father how he knew that the LDS church was True. His response threw me for a loop. as he replied "You have not read the Book of Mormon , have you?" He would say no more, so I determined to read The Book of Mormon from cover to cover and pray about it, if moved to do so. I read it in two weeks, reading every night. Begfore I finished it, with about 20 pages to go, I knew it was true, my prayers had been answered, and my life back in balance. Knowing that the Book was true led me serve a mission in the Southern States, return and marry a beautiful lady from El Salvador, learn spanish and share this message with many people. I know there are living Apostles and a Prophets today, and that God lives, his Son, and our Savior Jesus christ is our redeemer, and through him and no other can we be reuinited as an eternal family.

How I live my faith

I am a retired teacher of teenagers, but still do voluteer work with the Boy Scouts of America, where I have worked for almost 40 years with the 14 and 15 year olds. I am an assitant Scout master, and the Chapter adviser of the Kwatoko Chapter, Wipala Wiki Lodge of the Order of ther Arrow, the National Honor Society of Boy Scouts of America. I have been the Director for our week long encampments for our young men several times. I enjoy serving the youth of our Church and sharing with them true principles of live.
