Hi I'm Julie.

I love to organize, dance and design! My "jewels" are my husband and six kids! I'm busy loving life and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

Hi, I'm Julie! I love technology, organizing and being a creative graphic designer, photographer, seamstress, cook and dancer! I have been enthusiastically and very happily married for 22 years and am a fulfilled mother of six children. I stay at home to raise and nurture our family, but there is never a shortage of work that I am responsible for. I consider myself a family CEO, keeping our family thriving in today's uncertain world. I love the gospel because I know without any doubt that it helps me live my life and my family's to the fullest!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because of my parents. My parents were Methodists before they became Mormon. My parents told me when they were married and the priest said "till death do you part" during the ceremony, that they both felt there was something more. Why must we be separated at death? This was a question that they had in their hearts at the time the missionaries knocked on our door when I was a young child. I was raised in the Mormon faith. My parents taught me how to pray and how to listen for the promptings of the Spirit in my life. Even though they taught me these things and many others, I still had to find out for myself if the Mormon church was true and something I wanted to belong to. I began to have experiences during my pre-teen years that left no doubts in my mind that Heavenly Father is real and that his son, Jesus Christ, died for me. I knew they both loved me and only wanted to bless my life. Today, happily married and the mother of six children, the Lord continues to bless and show His love to me as I choose to be obedient to His commandments.

How I live my faith

I live my faith the best when I begin my day with a personal prayer asking Heavenly Father what He would have me do that day. I have found when I turn my life over to Him, everything works out immensely better! For instance, I know I always have much to do--with six kids there is never a slow moment! I think to myself, "how can I possibly get everything done? There are bills to pay, cleaning and organizing of our home to do, phone calls to return, laundry, meal preparation, driving everyone to various piano, dance, tennis, swim, cheer and basketball lessons--you get the picture! Every time I turn to the Lord in my prayer and have Him guide my priorities, the most important things just get done. I usually even end up with time left over in the day to accomplish some things that I had been wanting to do. This blessing is such tender mercy in my life. This help with prioritizing is even more profound due to how I currently serve in the church. I am called to lead the women's organization in our ward, called the Relief Society. We have over 160 women in this organization. I need the Spirit with me daily in order to know who needs my help or help from other women in the ward. I ask in my prayer--how can I be of service and to who? I love having the gospel in my life!
