Hi I'm Sabrina!

I'm an older sister, a book lover, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to read, draw, camp, and do almost anything outdoors. My sisters often tease me that if they ever need to find me, they just need to find someone with their nose in a book (that is mostly true). Some of my favorite books include, but are not limited to: the Harry Potter series, the Chronicles of Narnia, Nancy Drew, and books by Rachel Anne Nunes. I recently read The Wednesday Letters and The Wedding Letters by Jason Wright. I also love to cook, I enjoy crocheting hats, blankets, and baby booties when I have the spare time. In fact, for an MYP project I crocheted 30 hats and donated them to a hospital. My favorite classes in school are my creative textile class, clothing and design, and Spanish. I also enjoy spending time with my family. We enjoy riding our ATVs and hiking and other outdoor activities. I plan on becoming a dental hygienist after serving a church mission. I have interned at several dental offices and fallen in love with the dental world.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, but I know with all of my heart that the church is true. I am a mormon, because I feel the spirit every Sunday and I know without a doubt, that all that I have been taught is true. I have read The Book of Mormon. I also fasted and prayed to see if it is true. I can now tell anyone that I absolutely know that The Book of Mormon is true. I am a mormon, because I know that my Savior lives, and I know that he loves me. I know that he suffered, bled, and died for all of us so that we could live with him agian. I know that Joseph Smith really did translate The Book of Mormon under the direction of Heavenly Father. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a true prophet that was called of God and I know that he does receive revelation from him. I am so grateful to have the knowledge that I am a child of God and that he loves me so much that he sent his son to atone for my sins.

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sunday and participate in my various church classes. I go to the Relief Society Enrichment night once a month, and every morning I wake up at 6:00 a.m. to go to my seminary class that starts at 7:00 a.m. Seminary is an extra church class that is taken all four years of high school. Even though seminary starts really early, it is the best part of my day. It is wonderful to learn more and to go more in depth in the scriptures. It is really great to learn more about Christ and the things he did during his life while he was on the Earth. Each year you study a different part of the scriptures. For example, this year we are studying Church History and the Doctrine and Covenants while last year we studied The Book of Mormon. I also live my faith by trying to keep the commandments and sharing the gospel with my friends. I try to be an example to others and try to act the way Christ would want me to. Another thing I do is watching General Conference each year. I like to take notes on what the speakers say and, I put the notes in places that I will see them often so that I can continually work to be a better person. I also prepare each day to be a missionary. I study The Book of Mormon along with other church literature. I love the gospel and hope to share it with as many as possible.

What is the Book of Mormon?

If you pick up a copy of the Book of Mormon, it says: The Book of Mormon Another Testament of Jesus Christ. That is exactly what it is. It is another testament of Christ. It is a collection of writings that ancient prohpets wrote about Christ. It is made up of writings of ancient prophets that explain the love of Jesus Christ has for us and about his Atonement. It has a promise at the end that if you read it and pray with real intent on having your prayer answered you can find out through the Holy Ghost that it is true. Show more Show less

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Everything in the world around us proves that there is a God. Each beautiful flower and amazing sunrise denotes a Creator. There is no way these came about by chance. I cannot look at raindrops on leaves or white fluffy clouds in the wide blue sky and not be reminded of my Heavenly Father. Show more Show less
