Hi I'm Jayne

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in upstate New York but raised my four children in Oregon, where I was baptised.

About Me

I am a mother, grandmother and an artist. I have taught art to a variety of age groups, including adults, and continue create art on my own. I love to learn and went back to become a special education teacher. Understanding a variety of learning styles, including those with Autism, has added to my enjoyment of teaching art to a wide spectrum of children.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a big picture person. After attending church, discussing gospel principles with members and studying and pondering the Book of Mormon and the Old and New Testament, I prayed about the truthfullness of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints, more than once. Over time, my prayers were answered by confirmations given to me in personally meaningful ways. This process did not happen over night, it took several years. The patience and desire to really know for myself was worth the wait. I have never regretted my baptism.

How I live my faith

I have great peace of mind because of my understanding of where we came from, why we are here on earth and where we are going after this life. This understanding, my children and my grandchildren are the treasures of my life. I continue to enjoy studying from the scriptures and teaching bits of insight to my posterity. As the only church member from my family of origin, doing genealogy and Temple work for those who came before, is very important and satisfying to me.
