Hi I'm Ann

I'm a Mormon. I am a mother of 13 and grandmother of 26. The church taught me how to be my best in these two roles.

About Me

Being blessed with a large family keeps me quite involved with my family and their activities. I love every minute of it! Over the years I have learned to set goals and how to manage my time. I have learned these skills through our ladies' program, the Relief Society. These have proved to be invaluable to me at a mother and grandmother. During my free time I enjoy sewing, cooking, gardening, scrapbooking and artwork. Through my teaching experiences in the church I found my love for teaching children. It is amazing how one's spirit reaches another person's spirit regardless of age. When this happens it is so amazing and really touches your heart! So, I love to teach, and the church has given me this opportunity many times and I have seen my growth also.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was introduced to the church back in 1957 through a relative, I felt the friendship and sincerity of the members I came in contact with. I was very impressed with the teaching principles concerning the family. My husband and I wanted to raise our family with a religious influence so this was important to us. We both decided to be baptized after being taught the gospel principles and we have continued to this day to be active and involved with the church. I can honestly say that this was the best decision we made for us and our family. My husband has since passed but he never lost his love for his membership and how it directed our lives in a positive way. Through different teaching positions in the church, I have strengthened my testimony and know without a doubt who I am and my relationship with God. Although we all go through hardships in life, I know that we need to continue to be faithful, stand up for right, never give up and be there for one another.

How I live my faith

I have had many teaching opportunities in the church, mostly teaching children and youth. I definitely have grown spiritually over the years and it has given me much strength to endure the trials in life. It is a real plus in my life being able to attend church weekly and hearing the messages that have been prepared. I am never disappointed. Also, it is important to me to renew my covenants (promises) with my Heavenly Father when I partake of the sacrament. This gives me an opportunity to reflect on my life and know that I can repent of any wrong doings.  I enjoy participating in our classes and appreciate the friendships I have developed. I am so thankful for the gospel in my life and the strength it brings to me daily.
