Hi I'm Amron

I'm a husband and a father to the best wife and kids I could have. I love mexican food. I like sports. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and father, and the very best times in my life are the times I get to spend with my wife and kids. I'm studying to be a physician, and I really like it. It's super interesting to learn about the human body and how it works, and why it works that way. I like sports a lot. I like watching sports, Baseball, Football, Basketball, but I have more fun going out and playing them. I love mexican food. I had the opportunity to live and serve a mission in Mexico for two years, and while I was there, I ate some of the best foods I could imagine. Any time I get to pick what we are going to eat, you can rest assured that it's going to be mexican food. Even though the food was great, the best part of my mission was the people that I got to know and love, and the things that I learned about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I love being Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised by Mormons. I have always considered myself to be a Mormon. But, even though I was raised Mormon, that's not the reason I'm Mormon today. I became converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints by praying and asking God if it was true. I came to know it was true after I read the Book of Mormon. After I finished reading the Book of Mormon, in the last chapter, there are a few verses where the author invites the reader to pray to God and ask if the book is true. I'd heard about people praying and asking Heavenly Father if it were true, but I'd never done it myself. So, I decided to do it and find out for sure. I prayed and received an answer from our loving Heavenly Father and knew at that point for sure, that the Book of Mormon is true. There really isn't anything else quite as certain in my life as the knowledge that I've been given from our Heavenly Father that Jesus is the Christ, the Savior of the world, and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is His church. I know that each and every one of us are children of our Heavenly Father, and that we can all know for ourselves the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. That's the reason I served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and that's the reason I'm Mormon today.

How I live my faith

I live my Faith by trying to live as our Savior, Jesus Christ, teaches. I try to serve my fellow man, and one of the ways I get to do that is serve and work with the Cub Scouts (the 8-10 year old boys). As part of that, I try to help the boys learn important virtues such as honesty and courage. Another way that I get to serve is I volunteer as an interpreter for spanish speaking patients at a community medical center. I think the most important thing I try to do to live my Faith is study the scriptures and pray often both by my self and with my family. Doing that helps me to live more and more how Jesus Christ teaches us to live.
