Hi I'm Mitch

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Colorado. 5 generations have lived in my house. I love living here.

About Me

I enjoy motorsports and working in my yard or on my house. For nearly 30 years I have worked in the housing industry using computers. As a father & grandfather I have some knowledge of the world & how difficult it can be at times.

Why I am a Mormon

As a young father troubles came to my home. I was not a member at the time. A man came and asked if he would be allowed to help us. I thought that this was odd, but saw no harm. Later we had more members coming to introduce themselves and check to see if we needed further assistance. Those members touched my heart with their genuine concern. Afew years later I met the missionaries on an invitation from my spouse at that time. I listened and searched to know if what they said was the truth. I only received that it was. Soon after I was baptized I read the book of mormon. I still do not understand everything about the gospel. The things I have learned position me to continue learning. Learning that Heavenly Father & The Savior love you, no matter what, is the greatest thing to ever happen to me.

How I live my faith

It is not always easy to live by the words "when you are in the service of others", meaning that you are serving The Savior. Keeping your yard nice. Helping your neighbors. Talking with those who pass or by greeting them with a friendly smile or helping with directions to some destination. There are many opportunities to serve in the church that bring the members together. Holiday activities and the 'Fall Dance' are some of my favorites.

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

This is what struck me the most about the church. A church that was not concerned about how much donation was given by the members, but whether each member had a knowledge of Heavenly Father & The Savior's love for them individually. All volunteered without salary or the expectation of any compensation had to be the true church of The Savior. Show more Show less
