Hi I'm Gary

I am a retired educator. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Members of my family were in the Church by 1833. I am a retired educator, teacher, coach, administrator. I have had a wide variety of interests. I was a racing glider pilot and placed high in many championships and hold 13 state soaring records. I am interested in football (played for 8 years) and weight lifting, still lifting at 74 years of age. Very interested and active in geocaching. Have been involved in family history and research for almost 30 years. I have been married for 52 years, have 4 children, 13 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

Though I was born a member of the Church, I, like anyone in this situation had to be converted to the gospel, this happened through a very personal experience when I was 19 years old. Over the years I have found my faith verified through many spiritual experiences. I have learned and come to know that the gospel is true. I have been impressed by the many men and women in the church who occupy positions that require a great deal of intelligence, such as political leaders, judges, doctors, lawyers, educators and scientists. This has helped me in confirming why I am a Mormon.p

How I live my faith

I am very active in my church and community, I serve on the local School Board and hope my background will meet the needs of the people in our District. I very active in going to church and church activities. I work one day a week in the temple. I try to follow the principles of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I want people to see the truthfulness in the gospel by what they see in my eyes and what they see me do.
