Hi I'm Natalie

I am a native Coloradoan. I am an avid reader. I am a harpist. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am in love with books, harps, and sewing machines. I am the youngest child in my family with three brothers and one sister. The first three of my siblings are adopted and one of them is 100% Navajo Native American. I started playing the harp in my junior year of high school and I have never stopped loving that magnificent instrument. I have loved to read ever since I was old enough to understand the stories and I spend most of my free time sitting in the family room reading on the floor. I am a very quiet and shy person until I am comfortable around someone. Ever since I was in preschool, I knew that I wanted to become an elementary teacher. Now, I am studying elementary education at the same college with two of my brothers. I love being a daughter, an aunt, a sister, a student, and a friend.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon ( a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints) because I know the church to be true. I have prayed to God, asking whether these teachings are correct (see James 1:5) and I have received a burning testimony that this church is the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. Christ leads us today through modern revelation given to the Apostles and Prophet of the church. God has given us modern instruction because the world's temptations continue to change every passing hour. God loves us so much that He gives us a Prophet so we can be guided to know what we should do. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that it is another testament of Jesus Christ which occurred in the Americas. Since God loves all of His children with unconditional love, He also gave revelation to other inhabitants of the earth (during the times of the Bible) because He did not want to leave them in the dark without a way to the light. I have earnestly asked God if the Book of Mormon is true and I received for absolute certainty that it is the word of God. I know that this Gospel is true, that God loves us, that the Book of Mormon is true, and that Christ has suffered for our sins because He loves us and wants us to have the chance to live with God after this life. I know these things with my whole entire heart and mind. I can never deny what I know to be true. This is why I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints. This is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is my favorite topic to talk about. I am a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints and have been a member my whole entire life. Church callings (assignments given through revelation from God) have always been a part of my life since I turned 12. I love to serve those around me and I love to get to know everyone. My current calling is a Family History Consultant, which means that I help people learn how to find ancestors' names and information about them. I go to church every Sunday to learn more about God and His son, Jesus Christ. Along with working in Family History, I am assigned to visit three other women in our ward (congregation) to help them with struggles in their daily life. This is done by visiting each woman at least once a month just to visit and share a Gospel message. After that, it is still nice to check on these women to help them whenever they are struggling with life's hardships.
