Hi I'm Marilyn

I'm a Mormon. I'm a wife and a Mom of 3 boys.

About Me

I have 3 young boys. In my spare time I like to sew, craft and be creative. I have a degree in Accounting which has come in handy since my husband started his own business several years ago. I try to be healthy and fit, I once ran a marathon just to see if I could. I exercise mostly because of the end result, not necessarily because I enjoy the actual process.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the LDS church by a devout Mormon Mom and a non-Mormon Dad, most of the time I wasn't quite sure where I fit in, and if I even wanted to be Mormon as an adult. As I got older I realized great blessings that came from living the gospel and obeying God's commandments. My life seemed so simple and happy compared to those who didn't follow the gospel. When I put in the effort to develop a relationship with God, I realized he knows and loves each one of his children here on Earth.

How I live my faith

I believe that by being an active participant in the ward can bring out the best in people. It encourages you and gives opportunities to serve that people wouldn't do otherwise. It is hard to find the time to do Visiting Teaching, but it is something I have always enjoyed doing. I have developed many lasting friendships through Visiting Teaching and It is truly an inspired program. Currently I am a Cub Scout Den Leader. I enjoy doing this as my own son's are involved in scouts.
