Hi I'm David

I’m a Husband, I’m a Father, I’m a Software Developer, and I’m a Mormon.

About Me

While I was born in California, and spent most of my life in Utah. After graduating from high school I studied Civil Engineering in College. While studying Civil Engineering I had the opportunity to work on software to help visualize engineering problems, I enjoyed programming so much that I have made a career out of it. I now work as a software developer in the Pacific Northwest. I enjoy spending time working, and playing, with computers. I like taking walks through nature and appreciate the beauty of the world we live in.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it helps me to grow closer to God and my family. I was born in a Mormon family; however my faith is deeper than a family tradition. As I have read the scriptures and prayer I have come to know that God lives, that Jesus is the Christ, and that God knows me. The teachings of the Church have brought me great joy and happiness. I believe that families can be together forever, and I appreciate how the teachings of the Church help to bring my family closer.

How I live my faith

My faith helps me to remember that it is important that I make a difference in the world. I always try to remember that work is more than just a way to earn a living it is an opportunity to help others. While I have accomplished many things in my career my greatest satisfaction comes from knowing that I make a difference in people lives. I remember one time learning that software I wrote helped someone be more effective. It saved them enough time that they were able to attend their sons little league game, it was great to know that not only was I providing for my family but that I made a difference to in someone else’s family.
