Hi I'm David

I'm a husband, father, marriage and family therapist, professor, and early morning water skier. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

First and foremost I'm a husband and father. I love my family and the joys and challenges that come with those roles. I'm also a family therapist and feel privileged to help people from a wide range of backgrounds and a wide range of challenges. To help me stay balanced, I love to water ski early in the morning with great friends, even when it's cold outside.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe that God loves all of His children, that we have a Savior, Jesus Christ, and that His church is on the earth today. I have had small, yet significant experiences throughtout my life that have convinced me of these truths.

How I live my faith

In my professional life I try to see each person I interact with as a child of God with inherent worth. I also teach early morning religious education (6 to 7 am) to high school seniors. It's amazing to see the dedication of these young people and to get to study the gospel of Jesus Christ with them early in the morning. The most important way that I try to live my faith is in how I treat my wife and children. My wife and I try to teach and build relationships with each of our children through everyday things that have become traditions: Saturday morning chores listening to music, making french toast on Sunday mornings, talking at dinner together, and praying as a family.
