Hi I'm Michael

I'am a Husband, a Father, a Grandfather, a Construction Worker and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the State Washington, I am married and a father of 6 daughters. I attended College, served in the Military and have worked in the construction industry most of my life. I started working as a general laborer and through hard work and a strong work ethic (taught me by my Father and Mother), later became a Foreman, Superintendent, Officer and Owner. Over the years my hobbies have changed. When the girls were younger I liked horses, cows, pigs, dogs, cats, birds, girls softball, camping and fishing. Now I like to travel and I really like cars. I still like to fish, but as I have gotten older, I don't make the time as much as I should. I have enjoyed good health with only a few complications along the way. My greatest accomplishment is my family. My Wife and all six daughters make a difference. They share and care about others. Each has the unique talent of making others feel important and of value. I mentioned that I really like cars. I do, both old and new and I am fortunate enough to have a couple of both. The older ones are a lot of fun to work on and the new ones, well, they are very much fun to drive.

Why I am a Mormon

My mother was raised a Mormon and my Dad was not. In fact my Dad's family disliked the Mormons. Both my parents taught my brother and me to work hard, have a strong ethics and to be good to others. When I was 15 the Mormon Missionaries came to our house with a message. I still remember the feeling that came over me when I asked Heavenly Father if what I was being taught was true. I was baptised and comfirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in December of that year, just in time for Christmas. That year Christmas had a different feeling as we celebrated the birth of the Savior. Through High School I remained active in the church but went inactive in college. I remained inactive until I was married and my first Daughter was born. What a miracle that was witnessing the birth of a child. Knowing something was missing in my life I started attending church again. As my family grew, children would get sick and again miracles would happen in my life. I have been blessed in so many ways by the love the Savior has for me. The healing power of the Pristhood and through the Atonement of Christ I have felt God's love for me. I am a witness of Christ and the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that God lives and loves me and that his Son, Jesus Christ is my Savior.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through service, both in the church in the community and through work. I have served in many different capacties in the Church. First, I am a Home Teacher. I like serving in this capacity and do a good job visiting the families assigned me. I have been a Primary Worker, Sunday School Teacher, Sunday School President Counselor to the Bishop and have served in many other callings in the church. I have served in the community thru youth sports progams, 4H and school activities. Thru work, I have the opportunity to help employ people so they have the opportunity of careing for themselves and their families. I strive to attend all my church meeting when home and traveling and I try to be a good example for family, neighbors and friends.
