Hi I'm Steve Fisk

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a veterinarian (Texas A&M) but a specialist in caring for research animals (Board Certified, American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine). I am a father (five children and nine grandchildren) and have been married since 1965. I do photo restoration on the side, to help others with preserving family history. My current hobbies include landscape gardening, fly fishing and fly tying.

Why I am a Mormon

I first came into contact with the Church when I was a junior in high school but did not join until four years later, when I was a sophomore in college. A couple of missionaries challenged me to be baptized and I realized I had a solid testimony, so I was baptized in 1962. Next to my family and marriage it is easily one of the most positive influences in my life and I am grateful for my membership beyond words.

How I live my faith

Each day I strive to live the principles of the Gospel. I, along with my wife, am a Temple Worker. I am a Home Teacher for three families, who I visit each month, and I am in a leadership position in our High Priest group. My wife and I also regularly participate in a weekly Family Home Evening activity, which focuses on Gospel topics.
