Hi I'm Mele Felila Sagapolutele

I am a mother, a wife, a Tongan, a music lover. I am a Mormon!

About Me

I am a mother of two and a wife of a wonderful Samoan man. I grew up in Southern California with a single mom who worked hard to keep food on the table and clothes on my back. My parents were divorced when I was 7 years old. I was always taught to trust in the Lord in everything that I do. I love the Lord, and He has blessed my life with a wonderful mother who trusted the Lord enough to raise me on her own, and stay strong in her faith in God. I have a great love for missionary work and sharing the gospel with others. I served a mission in the Brasil, Brasilia Mission, and I love the people there so much. I have a huge family there in Brazil. I am blessed to have a wonderful husband that shares that same love for missionary work, and helping others learn about God, and his son Jesus Christ. I work in a pharmacy as a pharmacy technician, and I am going to school to get my degree to be a pharmacist. I love my Savior and Heavenly Father. I use to feel out of place because I didn't have a father figure to help me as a teen with father daughter things, but I then realized that I will always have my Heavenly Father with me. He has always been there for me, and I will always put my trust in Him for as long as I live. I have a loving Mother, and I will always have my heavenly father.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that God loves me enough to have the Book of Mormon to help me in my life. I have been a member since the day that I was born, but that doesn't mean that I grew up automatically believing everything just because my mother told me so. I eventually had to seek, and choose what I wanted to do with my life. I read the book of Mormon for myself, and I prayed about it. Through much investigation, I was able to gain a testimony of the God and Jesus Christ. Through the Holy spirit, I was able to know for my self that the church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints is the Lord's church on earth just as it was in the days of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith day by day. I am not perfect, so everyday I am trying to improve myself. I always try to do the best that I can to be more like my Savior. It is hard, but I do my best. When I make mistakes, I just remember that the Lord wants me to learn from my mistakes and move on. I try to teach my children how to love each other and other people. Most importantly, I live my life by example.

What is the role of the husband and the wife in the family?

Mele Felila Sagapolutele
Both father and mother have the responsibility to teach, and be an example for their children. Parents are responsible for providing and caring for their children's physical, mental, emotional well-being. Parents works as partners side by side to help their family grow in the light of Christ. What are some of the ways that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints helps those around the world?

Mele Felila Sagapolutele
The church has and is helping so many families and people all over the world by volunteering and help aid those who need food, clothes, and shelter. Every first Sunday members of the church for 2 meals refrain from eating and drinking and donate the amount of money that they would spend on those 2 meals to offerings to help feed those in need. The money goes towards providing and help others. This program is called the Welfare program. It also provides additional help for people in need. Show more Show less
