Hi I'm Nancy,

I grew up in the Seattle area, and now live near Phoenix, Arizona. I love life, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love being outdoors hiking, cycling, and boating. I feel the closest to my Father in Heaven when I am in the mountains enjoying this beautiful world he created for us. I'm a counselor at a university and a perpetual student. More than anything, I'm a single mom to four amazing kids who are nearly grown.

Why I am a Mormon

The first thing I ever learned in church as a small child, is that I am a child of God. This knowledge has carried me through all the trials I have had to endure in life. We are all (every person on earth) literally sons and daughters of a Heavenly Father who loves us. We are of infinite worth, and we have tremendous potential. I'm full of faith and hope, and thank goodness, because of it I am happy everyday (instead of worrying about things I might otherwise be losing my hair over). My greatest comfort and source of strength is prayer. I'm grateful to have Jesus Christ in my life.

How I live my faith

When I was growing up my mom seemed to always be making a dinner or a dessert for another family in need. That is what we do in this church, we pull together, and we serve our neighbors, our communities, and the world. Serving others is the secret to finding true happiness.
