Hi I'm Edna

I grew up in Washington, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mother and wife. I have 6 step-children and my husband and I have 3 children of our own, totaling 9. My number one interest is my family and always has been. I was blessed to have been raised and grown up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I was babtised a member at age 9. When I recognized my real conversion and testimony to the church was when I was around 18 years old and my testimony continues to grow daily since then. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is my life and I love it with all my heart! After graduating from high school, I went to a vocational school to prepare for my career. I then worked for Airborne Freight Corporation for around 5 years, felt there was more to life than just eating, sleeping, working and going out socially. I decided at that point to discover what the purpose of this life was and to find out what I should be doing in my life. That's when I consciously began searching to discover the purpose of my life. My life and story is an adventure that I wouldn't trade for anything. After discovering for myself the truthfulness of the gospel, I decided to share it with others. I served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ in England Leeds, Bolton, and Rochester. After my return I worked for 2 years at the Wagner Packaging Corporation, then the Court of Appeals Division I in Seattle, Washington. I met my husband, married and we have been blessed to do our best to raise a our family. My major hobby after my family is Family History.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, therefore I feel blessed to have learned and lived the principles of the gospel from my youth. (We must all learn the principles of the gospel so that we can each apply them in our lives to find out for ourselves if they are true.) This provided me with basics which have helped me throughout my life to recognize right from wrong. It has blessed me with peace and safety when I have lived its principles. I've had many growing and groaning experiences in my life. I firmly believe and know that there are consequences for the choices we make and depending on whether we make good choices or bad we will either be blessed or not depending on what we choose. I've experienced both. I feel that I have been richly blessed through my obedience though. I'd rather be blessed than suffer consequences for bad choices, so I strive to make good choices and bless, serve and help others and share what I have in the gospel so that others can have the opportunity to enjoy the peace, safety and blessings that I so richly enjoy. I desire to have the blessings of a forever family and so each day I live, I live the principles I've learned about from my youth so that I may be worthy to return to my Heavenly Father and be with my forever family in the eternities some day. I pray my family lives the principles of the Church of Jesus Christ and finds out for themselves the truthfulness of the gospel so that they too may enjoy all that I have from my youth and all that I still do to this day!

How I live my faith

I currently serve as a secretary in the church. I'm a part of the presidency that serves all the sisters in our ward. We strive to assess the needs of our sisters and bless their lives. To assist the sisters through visiting them and helping sisters and families in need. I attend church each Sunday. I feel that each Sunday I'm actually showing my Thanks to my Heavenly Father for all my blessings, it's a time when I can remember him and to renew the promises I made when I was babtised. I remember and relearn principles of the gospel and strive to renew my efforts in living them more each week. It's the least that I can do, and I feel that by doing that I'm the one being blessed. I feel so refreshed and ready for a new week after attending church classes and fellowshipping with everyone once a week after all the work and challenges we have gone through and that we experience weekly. We live in troubled times. I love all the peace I can experience. I feel devoting three hours a week is the least that I can do for all that I'm blessed with. I have all the rest of the hours in the week to do basically what I want.
