Hi I'm Kylie.

I'm a dancer who loves to learn languages and take photos and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a student at Brigham Young University, where I'm studying linguistics and foreign languages. So far, I've learned a good amount of French, some Spanish, some Italian, and a little bit of Russian and Portuguese. I live close to a school for international students learning English, so I have the awesome opportunity to meet and become friends with amazing people from all over the world. I LOVE to dance. In high school and middle school I danced with a ballroom dance team. I was on the BYU ballroom team for one term in the summer. I'm no longer on any team, but I love to go dancing when I get the chance, especially Latin dancing. Sometimes I think that deep down, my soul is latina. I'm the fourth child of seven children. I love my family. I want to get married someday to a wonderful husband, to have children, and to be happy. First, however, I plan to serve a mission. I've recently been called to serve in the Russia Moscow Mission!! I couldn't be more excited! I know it's where the Lord needs me to be, to love His children and bring them to Him.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. However, I've had the chance to find for myself that the church is true. I was baptized when I was eight, and I enjoyed coming to church then, but I had the majority of my spiritual experiences after that. When the Spirit testifies to me of truth, it's usually by way of a peaceful happiness. When I'm in a good place, doing the right thing, spending time with the right people, I can feel that happiness and peace. That is how I feel when I go to church, when I hear someone bear their testimony, when I listen to beautiful music, when I read the scriptures or pray, and that is why I continue living the way I do, and strive to become even better. I love to feel happy. I assume everyone does. If I live the way the church teaches me to, I can have that blessing, not only for my life here on Earth, but forever and ever in heaven with the people I love. I know that when I make good choices, I can feel His spirit and promptings. When I follow those promptings, I can feel His overwhelming love for me and His children.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by always trying to set an example of kindness and good moral values. I want to serve others and make them feel loved. I know the happiness that the gospel of Jesus Christ can bring, I know how much my Savior has done for me, and I desire to serve Him and do His will.
