Hi I'm Annette

I've lived in the Seattle area all of my life. I am a wife, mother and a teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of three awesome kids and wife to what I think is the best husband ever. I graduated from Central Washington University almost 10 years ago with my Teaching Degree. I was a substitute teacher for 7 years, and now I am in my 3rd year of teaching Reading to 7th and 8th graders. I love going to school and connecting with the middle school kids. I also coach volleyball and gymnastics there. To say the least I am a very busy mom! Our kids are also involved in sporting activities, we tend to be running from place to place, having a quick dinner together, and doing homework. However, I wouldn't trade my sometimes hectic chaotic life with anyone. Besides coaching and watching my kids be involved in sports, my husband and I love watching them together whether it be on TV or at a game.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a lucky girl who was born and raised in the gospel. Although my parents never forced it on me, I always wanted to be the best that I could be and live the standards of the church. Even when times have been hard, I know that the Lord id always there for me and that he would not give me any kind of trial that I could not handle. I would not say ever that me or my family is perfect. There are hard times, but having the gospel knowledge in my life can really make it a lot easier to get through life. I have had to rely on the Lord and the principle of forgiveness during a really hard time, but knowing that He loves me and knows me individually made that time so much easier. I am so grateful for the temple and the ordinances that are performed inside. Knowing that families are forever is such a blessing. I know that we will be reunited after death if we all strive to live the gospel principles. Christ made this possible for us through the atonement. We can be forgiven, we can be happy. This happiness is true happiness, not worldly happiness. We may not have much financially, but I know with the gospel and our temple covenants we can have it all. I am also grateful for our latter-day prophets to help to lead us and guide us today. They are special men called of God for our good. Also, I know that Joseph Smith was called of God to bring back the gospel that was lost to the earth. He was most definitely a true and humble servant. I know that the Church is most definitely true, along with The Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon is here to guide us as is the Bible and used and studied together, we have the only whole true church in the world!

How I live my faith

I participate in my ward not only going to church every Sunday, but also working with the young women youth of the ward ages 12-18. We do wholesome activities hoping to teach them not only how to be better youth in society, but also skills that can help them be better leaders, friends, wives, and mothers. The girls get to plan and organize weekly activities and be a part of the community by helping others and doing service. I am a leader in the program that gets to help and direct the girls wants and needs. I also am a visiting teacher where I get to visit 4 ladies every month to make sure that they are doing well. I am there for them if they ever need anything. I also live my faith by being a good example to all around me.
