Hi I'm Nate Hill

I like to watch sports, go outdoors, and play golf. I'm a husband, father of three, and an employment attorney. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a busy person and don't have much time for self-involved hobbies. Although I enjoy many outdoor activities and most sports, it is often hard to get away to do those things. Instead, I spend most of my free time with my family. I'm married with three young children. I suppose being a husband and "Daddy" are my hobbies because that is where I spend my time.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a community that has a high LDS concentration. Despite both of my parents being LDS, and being raised to follow those teachings, I balked at religion when I was a teenager. I spent my time among friends with similar LDS backgrounds but who also didn't want to practice religion. Although we were active in exciting outdoor activities and sports, we were never making any real progress in life. None of us were getting educations or maintained jobs that could become a career. I was never really happy in that way of life. As it happened, I came across two LDS missionaries while I was working in a distant city. I asked them for a copy of the Book of Mormon. Although I had been raised in the LDS church, I had as yet never read the Book of Mormon. As I did, I immediately felt spiritual feelings I had never felt. I also recalled lessons from Primary, or the Sunday School for small children. I recalled that if I would "search, ponder, and pray" about the Book of Mormon, I could know that it was true. As I did, the Holy Ghost confirmed to me that the Book of Mormon was from God. Since that time, the Holy Ghost has repeatedly reaffirmed to me the reality of our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I have usually participated in various assignments among my peer group of other men known as the Elders Quorum. I have served as a teacher and leader at different times. I have also helped teach Sunday School classes to other adults.
