Hi I'm Ben

I am a very happy man. I work as a full time bank employee, college student, dad of 2 1/2 kids, and husband. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to have people around and see them smile. I enjoyed collecting things from coins to ninja turtles memorabilia. I also enjoy camping and hiking. I work in a bank and I love to help people. I go to school full time working on my masters degree. I have two kids and one on the way. I have an amazing wife who loves and supports me. Its like having my best friend around all the time.

Why I am a Mormon

I can feel the love God has for me and my family. My faith in Jesus Christ gives me hope for tomorrow and allows me to become my best self. Even though I am not perfect, I have can will continue to change and become better. I have felt his love and forgiveness, as well as the peace that comes from following the life and example of Jesus Christ. God's promises are sure, and the power of God is real.

How I live my faith

My faith is one that is cultivated at home. Our center is Jesus Christ and his teachings. We have family prayer and scripture study. We spend time as a family and try to create lasting memories. I also go to church once a week where I participate in learning and teaching lessons of our Savior. I visit neighbors and others who are sick and need help. I try to be the same person at work, home, and church. I try to be a man that can follow the teachings of Jesus Christ to be honest, true, and loving to others.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Ben
Mormon women are amazing. They are loving, helpful, and they inspire me to be better. In my experience they give much of their time in service. I remember a time when my wife and I just had our second baby and we had just moved to a new area. A group of women from the church brought us meals for a whole week. It was amazing to have support and love when we were far away from our own parents. Also members of the church emphatically believe in the equality of men and women. We do acknowledge that each gender has divine attributes given from God to help serve others. I find myself often leaning on my strong wife for support and her input as we raise our children, make life decisions, and in how our family will work. And yes, we both equally clean the bathrooms :). Show more Show less
