Hi I'm Joseph L Ostheller DDS

I grew up in Wa, Ak, and Ca. I went to to college in Utah and Wisconsin. I'm a general dentist, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I goto work. Drill and Fill teeth all day, and go home to my family at the end of the day. Often, we play tennis after work. I have a wife and four children. We have three cats, and a dog. Also, can't forget the Russian Tortoise.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents joined the church before I was born. I have always believed that the LDS church was the only true church from a young age. I remember in the second grade my teacher asked me what church I belonged to. I told her it was the only true church. She said lots of people thought theirs was the only true one. I told her that mine really was. Every once and awhile in my life I hear something that is profound and true, and I get this electrically charged good feeling of confidence and I hear myself saying, "Yes, that is the truth".. I felt that way when I heard that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day saints was the only true and living church upon the face of the whole earth that the Lord was pleased with, speaking of the church collectively and not individually. I knew it was true as a child and have always believed. Since then I also learned that Joseph Smith was a true prophet, that Jesus Christ was the ante-mortal Jehovah, that the Book of Mormon was the word of God, and many other precious truths. I have the gift of the Holy Ghost which was given to me as an eight year old boy. I live my life by the guidance of the Holy Ghost. I also live by faith, and my interpretation of scripture, and divine principles. My main goal in life is to do the right thing. I want to do what God wants for me.. to fulfill the mission of my life, my destiny, so to speak. That's why I'm a Mormon

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church... Serving in whatever capacity I am asked to serve in... and integrating the beliefs into everyday life. Through my church service, I have had the opportunity to learn about genealogy research, scouting, and emergency preparedness. My faith also includes a patriotic element. I feel that America is a great land, and have a desire to serve my fellow-man. So, I joined the Washington State Guard. It is a volunteer unit which prepares for and serves in local community emergency situations and natural disasters.

Who was Joseph Smith?

Joseph L Ostheller DDS
Joseph Smith was the prophet who God used to bring his church back to the earth. In 1820 Joseph was 14 and he wondered which church to join. He went to the woods to pray and was visited by God the father and His son Jesus Christ. He was told to join non of the churches, and that the truth would be made know to him someday.
