Hi I'm Jonathan

I'm a pediatric dentist and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married and have four kids. I practiced pediatric dentistry for 15 years before becoming disabled. Now I am a stay at home dad. I am learning to shop, cook, helping with homework and carpool. I enjoy college sports, soccer and tennis. I also enjoy reading.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Mormon family. I have always had the gospel in my life. As my career progressed I became more and more involved in it and less in my family and church. A few years ago it caught up with me. I made the choice to cut back on my career and spend more time with my family and focus more on Jesus Christ. Not long after, I collapsed. A virus had attacked my heart muscle. I spent two weeks in the hospital and had multiple procedures. I've spent the last two years adjusting medications and trying to heal. It has given me a chance to redirect my life and my heart. My family is now a priority. I have also had a chance to renew my faith. I rely on my Savior to help me daily.

How I live my faith

I enjoy reading my scriptures and having daily prayer. My son and I get to visit with a couple of local families in our congregation as hometeachers. We visit with them and try to help in any way possible. Due to my health, I get far more help than I am able to give. I also enjoy participating in my sons' Scouting activities when my health allows.
