Hi I'm Jeremy Luke

I love to laugh. I love to eat. I love to study human movement. I love my dancer wife. I love being a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the boondocks of Indiana. I am the youngest of 9 children. My parents raised me as a child of God, teaching me about Christ from the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I learned even more of Jesus Christ as I attended church. The time eventually came when it was my turn to share the knowledge I'd gained, so I left my family, friends, and schooling to serve a mission in Chile. There I was honored and blessed to teach many families about Jesus Christ, the Book of Mormon, and the restored Church, through modern day prophets and apostles. After two years of teaching and baptizing those in Chile, I returned to marry my beautiful wife and to return to school, where I am studying human movement to become a Physical Therapist. My wife and I are currently living in Louisiana and are loving the food. My wife loves her jobs as a dance teacher and yoga instructor, while I love learning more and more about the human body. Our lives are filled with joy and laughter as we strive to follow the example of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because nothing else has brought greater happiness into my life. Through the Gospel of Jesus Christ I have learned to enjoy all aspects of life, even the struggles and difficulties. I know the Book of Mormon, like the Bible, is the word of God, because I have felt the Holy Ghost testify of it's truthfulness. When I was 16 I began to wonder whether the church I have always known was true. I decided to take the challenge of the Book of Mormon, which is to read and ask God if it is His word. After a period of reading daily and constantly asking in prayer, I began to despair, thinking I wouldn't get an answer. A few days latter, as I prayed over breakfast I decided to ask one more time to know the truth. The feelings of peace, joy, and surety came over me and confirmed the truth of the Book of Mormon. So powerful were the impressions that I couldn't even finish my prayer. From that moment I knew that I had been raised of goodly parents and in the true church of Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by letting my "light so shine before men" (Matthew 5:18). My light is my example of love and happiness. I want others to know that I love my life and love the happiness I enjoy living the Gospel. I also live my faith by helping my wife teach the Primary children of the Gospel, so that they too will grow up and know the truth. And it is that truth that will bring them love, peace, and joy. I know through my example and teachings I am an instrument in the Savior's hands, touching those around me, so they too can feel of His love.

Who are the Mormons?

Jeremy Luke
Mormons are everyday people like you and your friends. We strive to live the best life possible by following the commandments and directions of our loving Heavenly Father. Our goal is to be Christ like in all that we do. Therefore we believe in and love the Bible. We also believe that the Book of Mormon is Another Testament of Jesus Christ, giving us two separate accounts of His teachings. With the knowledge of the Book of Mormon we believe that God has called prophets and apostles in our time to lead and guide us as it was the days of old. We are 14 million strong and growing worldwide, so you may interact with a Mormon on a daily basis and not realize it. We may be the one who holds open the door for you at the store or that you see helping an older lady cross the street. We could be one of your local policemen, doctors, or teachers. Or we may be just a friendly neighbor or friend. Mormons are all different but we all have one thing in common, we believe in Jesus Christ as our Savior and Redeemer. Show more Show less
